We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your personal data will be treated confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.

The use of this website is generally possible without providing personal data. As far as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) are collected on these pages, this is, as far as possible, always on a voluntary basis.

Note: Data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

What personal information we collect and why we collect it

Cookies

If you have an account and log in to this website, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you sign in, we will set some cookies to store your login information and display options. Login cookies expire after two days and cookies for the display options expire after one year. Server log files

We automatically collect and store information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. These are:

  • Browser type, browser version and operating system used
  • last visited address from which you came to this page
  • Server name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. These data are not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to check these data subsequently if we become aware of concrete indications of an illegal use.

How long we store your data

For members who have a user account on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their applications for membership. All users can view their personal information at any time and ask the board for a change. Website administrators can also view and modify this information.

For participants of our dance weekends we store all data necessary for the organization of the event, in particular name, address, e-mail and telephone number, as well as special requests regarding accommodation and catering. Each participant can retrieve his or her own data via the secure URL provided during registration. Names and postal addresses of the participants will be communicated to the hotel one week before the dance weekends.

SSL encoding

This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as a site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data you send us cannot be read by third parties.

What rights you have to your data

If you have an account on this website or are a participant in our dance events, you can request an export of your personal data from us, including any data you have provided to us. In addition, you can request the deletion of all personal data that we have stored about you. This does not include the data that we have to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.
